Full Property Details :

Sea Shaw Holiday Cottage is a stunning 2 bedroom harbour front cottage offering both comfort and quality in the heart of St Monans, a sleepy East Neuk fishing village. Sleeps up to 5.

Overview:

Sea-Shaw offers a wonderful experience of life in a sleepy east coast fishing village. Recently refurbished, the accommodation has been tastefully restored and refurbished to an extremely high standard, providing visitors with the perfect holiday base for all activities and attractions the area has to offer. This stone built property (circa 1750) offers visitors all modern comforts of modern living but still retaining the attraction and warmth you would expect from a traditional Scottish cottage, with oak floors and original stone walls in evidence throughout.

Originally two cottages this superb spacious accommodation offers two bedrooms  (double and twin ), large open plan modern kitchen with dining area, large lounge with convector stove, bright bathroom with shower, enclosed courtyard garden (watch out this is a real suntrap!), TV / DVD / Video with library. This harbour front accommodation is directly on Fife’s Coastal Path and boasts views of both Bass Rock and Berwick Law with the famous St. Monans Windmill, salt pans and ancient kirk only a few minutes walk away. The village also provides a post office, pub, two small supermarkets and one of the best seafood restaurants in the area.

There is an abundance of superb blue flag beaches minutes walk from Sea Shaw. Kingsbarns and Elie beaches are our favourites, with literally miles of golden sand stretching into the distance. In the nearby villages of Crail, Pittenweem and Anstruther you will find some of the best seafood restaurants, friendly pubs, wealth of excellent bistros, craft shops and art galleries on the East Coast. Daily excursions to the Isle of May from Anstruther, Elie watersports, Cupar Deer Centre and St Andrews Aquarium are worth a visit for both families and the young at heart. If ancient history is your passion Kellie Castle, the Royal Keep at Crail and especially Falkland Palace are definitely worth a visit. The Coastal Path, abundance of superb golf courses, pubs, festivals and of course the local produce are waiting to be savoured and enjoyed.
Sea-Shaw is approximately 15 minutes drive from St Andrews and less than an hour from Scotland’s capital. There are excellent public transport services nearby providing hassle free road, rail and bus links to two of Scotland’s international airports at Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Sleeps up to 5.
