Overview:
Cellardyke (Anstruther) is one of a number of small fishing villages in the picturesque East Neuk of Fife. This delightful holiday cottage, totally rennovated to the highest possible standard and tastefully decorated throughout, is an ideal base from which to explore this wonderful part of Scotland.
North East Fife is a fantastic location for a family holiday, with award winning sandy beaches, world class golf courses, full range of watersports, beautiful coastal walks and many other holiday activities locally. There are numerous pubs and eating places in the area, ranging from the famous "Anster Chippie" to award winning seafood restaurants and the historic town of St Andrews is only 15 minutes away where you will find exclusive shopping.
This part of Fife is also ideal for exploring further afield. It is only an hours drive to Edinburgh, Stirling and Perth and is rich in historical interest with several National Trust properties in the vacinity including Falkland Palace, Culross, Kellie Castle and the Hill of Tarvit.
And have we mentioned the beautiful sandy beaches along with some of the best choice of golf courses Scotland has to offer!!
Cottage Accommodation:- There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor, one twin and one double. The double bedroom benefits from a luxury en-suite bathroom. There is a separate bathroom with luxury shower adjacent to the twin bedroom. Both bedrooms have great sea views. There is a separate utility room on this level with washing machine and freezer.
A splendid wooden staircase leads up to a stunning open plan kitchen / dining / living area. The solid oak kitchen is fully equipped for your convenience and has an integrated fridge with built-in oven and ceramic hob. The living area has a feature wood burning stove which along with the solid oak floors (throughout the whole property), just adds to the character and charm of this superb cottage. This spectacular room with 7 windows facing the sea has some of the best sea views in the area. The incredible views stretch right across the Firth of Forth to Berwick Law, Bass Rock, Isle of May, and along the coast towards Crail. Truly wonderful!
Salt Herrings Cottage is available for holiday rental all year round. Offered on a self catering basis, the cottage can sleep up to 4 guests.
