Pictillum is a beautifully converted large traditional stone barn (sleeps 8) with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large garden with BBQ, games room / large shed, set in the picturesque Strathmore valleu, 30 minutes north east of Perth. The property is ideal for family holidays or for those wanting outdoor breaks and has a lovely open plan layout plus stunning views over the valley. Sleeps 8.
Overview:
Pictillum is a traditional barn dating back to 1840. Converted in 2007, the house and garden offer the perfect place for a relaxing break in the beautiful Perthshire countryside.
Accommodation include: 4 bedrooms (2 double/2 twin rooms. Sleeps 8), 2 bathrooms (master bathroom includes double ended sunken bath and separate oversized shower), cloakroom/wc, utility room with washing machine and drying pulley, large kitchen/dining area complete with fridge/freezer, butler sink, 3 oven gas fired Aga and dishwasher. The upstairs comprises of a mezannine lounge which overlooks the double height dining area below and is framed by floor to ceiling south facing windows which throw light and the magnificent views into the house. The downstairs is centrally heated by gas underfloor heating throughout not to mention the cosy Aga.
Onsite private parking is available for 4 cars and is situated next to the secure games room/shed. The games room contains a full size table tennis table and dartboard and also provides excellent storage space for all your outdoor gear from bikes and golf clubs to sledges and skis.
Unfortunately, due to the open plan nature of the property, pets are not allowed at Pictillum. In addition, there is also a no smoking policy throughout the property.
Pictillum is situated just 5 miles east of Blairgowrie and is only 30 minutes by car from both Perth and Dundee. Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen are only just over an hour away. The surrounding area offers a great opportunity to explore the mountains, hills, lochs and valleys along with great routes for both walking and cycling. In addition, there are 5 excellent golf courses within half an hour from Pictillum with the nearest being less than a 5 minute drive away.
Pictillum was lovingly converted by the current owners and is ideal for groups of family / friends, business or leisure.
