Locherlour Mill is a 5 star luxury, GREEN, Mill conversion, sleeping upto 24, majestically set on an elevated position on the edge of Ochtertyre estate in beautiful Perthshire, just 2 miles from the bustling historic market town of Crieff. Sleeps up to 24 guests.
Overview:
There is a wonderful mix of old and modern within the Mill, where all rooms have been decorated and furnished to the highest standards, to create a totally unique atmosphere. The original waterwheel still exists within the Mill, and produces electricity. All the hot water and underfloor heating comes from the mile of Geothermal pipes laid in the garden. There are 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, a huge lounge with open fireplace, an impressive gallery dining hall, triple height orangerie with exposed stone walls.
Crieff, the gateway to the Highlands, is situated just an hours drive from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, and just 20 minutes from both Stirling and Perth, so it is an ideal location for exploring Scotland. Crieff is located in Central Perthshire, known as the Big Tree Country, and there are fantastic walks, hikes, cycling routes which allow visitors to enjoy the great outdoors. Golf is a way of life in Perthshire and there are over 300 courses in the county ranging from our own local 18 hole course to the world-class championship courses at Gleneagles, 8 miles away.
