The Hideaway, Ruthvenfield is a delightful semi detached holiday cottage near Perth, in a picturesque, semi-rural setting yet very close to amenities. Ideal for a romantic break, the accommodation has one bedroom, private garden and parking. Sleeps 2.
Overview:
This is a charming one bedroom holiday cottage located in Ruthvenfield, a semi-rural location, just yards from Huntingtower Castle just West of Perth and half a mile from the Perth Bypass. So called as it is hidden from view with the back facing you when you park the car - offering a relaxing break away!
The cottage is accessed by a path on the right hand side of the house which leads round to the front where you will see the lovely garden and patio area. Access to the accommodation is then from the garden into a vestibule with a cupboard and handing rail with a shelf above which in turn leads to the kitchen which has a small eating area with stools. Well fitted with a fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and cooker with a hob, oven and grill and stocked with ample pots and pans, cultery and crockery to meet all your needs.
The beautiful sitting room has patio doors into the paved patio area and garden beyond. There is a dining table seating 4 as well as television, DVD player and music centre.
The double bedroom has plenty of storage space and a comfortable double bed with headboard and cushions. All linen is provided in the rental as are comfy pillows. There is also a TV in the bedroom and electric blankets are available on request.
The bathroom is fully tiled with a toilet, wash hand basin and full size bath with a shower over it. There is a bi-fold screen over the bath and a ladder style radiator for cosy towels. There are 2 display shelves and a mirror.
Although the property is well equpped you may want to have a break from the kitchen for which there are plenty of eateries nearby to choose from including Huntingtower Hotel, Gloagburn Farmshop and restaurant, Dobbies restaurant and the Glover's Arms.
Perthshire is a large and beautiful county - known as 'Big Tree Country'. It offers an excellent location for exploring much of Scotland and with a selection of castles, galleries, antique centres, distilleries, theatres, walks, fishing, white water rafting and golf to be found in the area, there's something for everyone! And after a hard days sight seeing what better to do than relax in front of the fire or, weather permitting, enjoy the peace and tranquility in the garden!
For amenities, the large town of Perth is approx. 15 minutes drive with all major supermarkets, petrol stations, banks and post offices to be found here. Crieff, approx 20 minutes drive, also benefits from a good selection of shops, restaurants, and bars. The cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow are approx. 1 - 1.5 hrs drive and Dundee around 40 minutes.
