Overview:
Bayview is a luxury 3-storey holiday home which has been tastefully furnished to a high standard and enjoys lovely sea views from the upper floors.
Built around 1840, Bayview is a traditional fisherman’s house situated in the conservation area of the picturesque coastal village of St Monans. The house was renovated and refurbished in 2006 with the aim of offering comfortable and luxury holiday accommodation, somewhwere guests could relax and un-wind.
The top floor of the house contains the lounge and master bedroom. From the lounge window are wonderful sea views across the Forth taking in Bass Rock, Berwick Law and the East Lothian coast. There are two leather sofas and a tub chair in the lounge along with a SONY flat screen LCD television, DVD player and HiFi. The master bedroom has a king-size bed.
The middle floor hosts the wonderful and well equipped dining kitchen with gas hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, and washing machine. There is a dining table and chairs for up to 6 guests and sea views. They say the kitchen is the heart of the home ... well that certainly is true in this case!
The spacious family bathroom, also located on the middle floor, has a stand-alone roll top bath, large separate shower enclosure, heated towel rail, WC and vanity unit. Great for relaxing at the end of the day! A separate WC with heated towel rail is a handy addition on this floor.
The other two bedrooms are situated on the ground floor. The largest is a bright, front facing, twin room furnished with two oak single beds. The third bedroom has double bed.
The rear courtyard garden is fully enclosed and access via the ground floor hall. With garden furniture, this is a good place to start or end the day.
The village of St Monans is steeped in history and contains all the facilities you would hope for in a small village; grocers, post office, cafe, hotel, church, fish merchants, and take away restaurant, all of which are within walking distance of the house. There is also an award winning seafood restaurant.
Elie, with its blue flag beaches, watersports, golf course, etc, is a mere 2 miles to the south whilst St Andrews is only 12 miles to the north with all the other East Neuk villages situated in between. The coastal path is only metres away from the house making this an ideal base from which to explore everything the North East of Fife has to offer.
This is a popular coastal area with an abundance of wildlife and a great place to enjoy a peaceful break with award winning beaches and of course famous golf courses. It also boasts various festivals throughout the year including the annual East Neuk Seafood Festival or the Pittenween Arts Festival.
Sleeps up to 6.
