Accommodation Dauna Lodge has been lovingly renovated to a very high standard; successfully marrying traditional charm with modern day high spec living. From the tranquil surroundings of Alyth to the cinema room & outdoor hot tub, this benchmark property is the perfect self-catering experience.

The ground floor of the Lodge comprises of; spacious lounge with log burning stove, a well-equipped dining kitchen & separate dining area, cinema room, one bedroom and cloakroom. There is WiFi throughout. The remaining 4 bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suite, are on the second floor and also feature integrated TVs with SKY and offer ample hanging and drawer space. All but one of the bedrooms features the Sonos wireless sound system. (The three King/Super King rooms can be split into twin rooms if required). Family bathroom with integrated flat-screen TV.

Externally guests can enjoy al fresco dining on the elevated decking area with BBQ. The hot tub is an ideal way to unwind and soak in the peaceful surroundings and there is both pool and table tennis available in the games room (adjacent to the lodge). Secure parking and storage for sports equipment is also available both inside and out of the property.

Area From a sheltered position on the fringe of the Highlands, Alyth nestles snugly above Strathmore, Scotland's most fertile valley. It is guarded by the ruined arches of its ancient church where Robert the Bruce is said to have worshipped in 1326 and is famed for its magical Den.??Alyth provides a fantastic starting point for touring the many beauty spots of Perthshire, Angus and the Grampian Highlands with Alyth Hill lending itself to spectacular views of Fife, Perth's Kinnoull Hill and across Perthshire to Ben Lawers and Schiehallion. The Grampians can be seen to the north and, in the foreground, you can look past Alyth town to the golf courses at Glenisla, Alyth and Strathmore, which are open all year round.

The River Tay dominates the Perthshire countryside and is one of the principle salmon fishing systems in Europe. Over its 119 mile course it is fed by rivers such as the Ericht, Isla, Garry, Tilt, Tummel, Lyon, Earn and Almond. The area is renowned for salmon and trout fishing, which are widely available and generally affordable (if you don't land a big one).

Although Alyth's winters are mild, we are within half an hour from the Scottish Highlands and the largest ski area in Britain; Glenshee. Skiing is mostly centred on the Cairnwell Pass. At 2199 ft., this carries the highest main road in the country. Downhill skiing, Telemark skiing and snowboarding are all well catered for at Glenshee. The slopes are suitable for all grades - ample nursery slopes for beginners, right up to the formidable "Tiger" run for those with a true sense of adventure!

Booking Terms 25% deposit is required to secure the dates with the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Where a booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival then full payment will be required at the time of booking. We accept most forms of payment including bank transfer; all major credit cards and UK issued debit cards. Rental is inclusive of linen and towels, as well as utilities (gas and electricity). Fair usage policy applies. All breakages are chargeable. TS Properties have the right to charge a fully refundable security deposit.


Cancellation Policy

Once a booking deposit has been paid and the booking confirmed in writing, the Tenant is liable for the whole amount of the rent for the period booked.

Any cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by us.

  • If notice of cancellation is given more than 8 weeks before your arrival date, 25% of the total tariff is non-refundable
  • If notice of cancellation is given with less than 8 weeks of your arrival date, the full amount is payable.


Holiday / Cancellation Insurance. Once booked, the Tenant is liable for the complete Property rental costs. As such, it is strongly recommended that the Tenant take out suitable holiday / cancellation insurance to cover costs incurred by unexpected holiday cancellation. Booking Protect, which is a cancellation policy, is offered as an option at the time of booking via the TS Holiday Lets website. Booking Protect is an independent company and in no way related to TS Holiday Lets.
