103 Canongate, Edinburgh is a light and airy, architect-designed 2 bedroom holiday apartment in a listed building (officially designated as being of special architectural significance) with magnificent views over Edinburgh's famous Old Town. It benefits from a sunny balcony, and its location on the quieter end of The Royal Mile means that it is ideally situated for the Scottish capital's many attractions. Sleeps 4 (or 5 with fold-up bed).

Overview:

Many of Edinburgh's most famous landmarks and amenities are on the apartment’s doorstep. The Castle is less than ten minutes by foot, The Palace of Holyroodhouse (and the new Scottish Parliament) are just three minutes' walk. The ancient spires of the Palace (the Queen's official residence in Scotland) are visible from the second bedroom. Waverley Railway Station is less than ten minutes' walk away. Princes Street, the city's principal shopping thoroughfare, is just beyond the station, and just beyond that is the New Town - the world's greatest showpiece of Georgian architecture. There are excellent shopping and dining facilities on the flat's doorstep, with equally good alternatives on the nearby North and South Bridges. The Museum of Edinburgh is within 100 metres of our front door, and The Royal Mile's oldest building - John Knox House - just a little further.

Surprisingly for a capital city, we also offer immediate access to some excellent walks. Calton Hill, also known as ‘The Athens of the North’ is within ten minutes by foot using the Victorian-era steps colloquially described as ‘Jacob’s Ladder’. The cityscape from here is remarkable, but arguably not quite as dramatic as that from Salisbury Crag – part of the rugged hills which form part of nearby Holyrood Park. Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh’s highest point, is also part of this beautiful royal parkland and is easily accessible from the apartment.
